Payments and Payment Links
Use this page when you need the public payment capability overview rather than an internal checkout walkthrough.
What this experience is for
SyncReserve supports multiple payment entry points so clubs can collect money in the right context instead of forcing every guest into the same account flow.
That matters because guest payments do not always start at checkout. A club may need to collect payment:
- during booking
- after booking
- from a reminder or follow-up link
- for a split share
- as part of a recovery flow when something still needs to be paid
What payment links make possible
Focused payment routes are useful because they reduce friction.
- they let the guest complete one specific payment task quickly
- they can be used from SMS or other follow-up prompts
- they work even when the guest is not navigating through the full account area first
- they support clubs that need to recover unpaid balances without recreating the booking experience
How the payment experience is usually structured
At a high level, guests usually:
- open a booking-linked or invite-based payment route
- verify identity when the club requires it
- review the amount due or share due
- complete payment using an available payment method
- return to booking confirmation or related context
This keeps payment collection narrow, clear, and tied to the actual booking or obligation.
How this differs from My Account
My Account is the broader self-service workspace.
Payment links are narrower.
My Accountis for returning guests managing their relationship with the club- payment-link flows are for finishing a specific payment job with minimal friction
What can vary by club
- some clubs require verification before payment
- some support split or participant-linked payment collection
- some use recovery links for unpaid bookings
- some rely more heavily on saved payment methods than direct one-time entry
What this page is not
This page is a public capability overview.
It is not:
- a route-by-route description of internal payment handling
- a full explanation of every failure or token state
- a substitute for accounting or processor documentation
